When applying for a Skilled Worker Visa, Home Office may at times request that the visa applicant attends an interview as part of the application process.

The purpose of the interview is to assess whether the visa applicant genuinely understands the job role they have been hired for and whether the job offer is legitimate. Questions will usually focus on the job itself, the applicants previous experience, and how they came to be recruited by the sponsor.
The UK Home Office will want to establish that you are familiar with your day-to-day responsibilities and that your skills and experience align with the role outlined on your Certificate of Sponsorship / CoS.
