From Refusal to Approval: UK Tourist Visa Success Story
Today we will look at our client’s UK Standard Visitor Visa refusal. He consulted with us for advice, after submitting a UK Visitor Visa application by himself. He wanted to attend an erasmus course in the UK, which was due to start soon.
This is a textbook example of how applicants should not be discouraged if they have received a refusal! A refusal letter from the UK Home Office details exactly why the application has been refused. This gives an applicant the opportunity to submit documents to fix such errors.
UK Visitor Visa refusals are extremely common. The documents that need to be submitted are not clear and this is due to the fact that the documents required will be tailored to the applicant, on a case by case basis. Everyone’s circumstances are different. For example, some applicants are self-employed, some are un-employed, thus the documents required for each will be very different. It is highly recommended that you consult with a Visitor Visa expert before submitting an application.
It may take a long time to prepare the correct documents, so we would also suggest preparing for the visa for at least a couple months before your intended visit date to the U.K.
UK Visitor Visa Refusal
Above is an excerpt from our client's refusal letter.
We have removed any personal information to protect our clients confidentiality.
The main reason why he was refused is because:
Just before the application submission, he deposits a large amount of funds into his bank account.
He does not explain why he has deposited such a large amount of funds
He fails to show the link between how he received funds, as he was a student at the time.
He does not fill in the application form correctly nor does he provide a satisfactory statement, which leads the officer to believe that the applicant had no ties to his home country.
After correcting the points above, and organising the correct documents, he was approved just in time for his course.
