How to get a Priority Certificate of Sponsorship CoS Allocation Slot in 2026?

CoS Allocation Priority Service UK Complete Guide

The current waiting time for the Home Office to process Undefined CoS requests is 18 weeks.

However, the Post-License Priority service allows for A-Rated sponsors to fast track specific requests to their sponsor license. An Undefined CoS is one of these.

Please note: It is currently not possible to fast track a Defined CoS.

This priority service allows Sponsor’s to get a decision on their request within five working days, rather than the standard 18 weeks.

100 priority slots are released daily everyday at 7am. The slots are allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you are successful, the Home Office will email you a payment link and you will have 72 hours to complete the payment.

A sponsor will have to complete the application form, and send this via email to postlicencepriorityservice@homeoffice.gov.uk along with the required supporting documents which are explained on the form.

What is the fee for the Priority Undefined CoS request?

The Home Office fee for each priority request is £350.

Though a decision should be made within five working days, in some cases this may take longer. They may request additional information from Sponsor’s first.

The £350 fee is strictly non-refundable, even if the decision time is delayed.
